Early Childhood

a pocket full of wonder

EARLY CHILDHOOD

Free, imaginative play is one of the cornerstones of early childhood programs within Waldorf schools. Play allows children to develop their creativity and imagination as they learn through exploration.

Our school offers young children a warm and nurturing environment. The classrooms are set with soothing colors, natural materials, and natural lighting. Each class follows a reliable flow and rhythm that provides children with a sense of safety and security. Daily activities are designed to help develop their fine motor and gross motor skills through active outdoor play, games, handwork, painting and more.

Children of all ages spend significant amounts of time outdoors on our natural playground. Starting in the Mixed-Age Kindergarten, children experience one to two mornings a week of Forest Kindergarten in nearby woods.
