Alexandria is one of the most historic towns in all of America. Right outside the front door of the Potomac Crescent Waldorf School dwells a landscape rife with stories and historic locations that span the length of our American history. When a child can link stories with their geographic landscape, that landscape comes alive. This PCWS camp will explore in depth the many opportunities that can be searched out in Alexandria. We will search out the sites of individual tales of struggle and connect in a heart way with the site that evokes the feelings of Native Americans, colonial peoples, the American Revolution, the growth of the USA, the great tragedy of the Civil War, and the struggle for Civil Rights.
